Residential Feasibility Study

The Essential First Step Toward a Custom Insulated Concrete Dome Home

A feasibility study is the essential first step in planning your dome. It ensures your vision, budget, and property align—helping you avoid costly surprises and giving you the confidence to move forward.

Both our Standard and Premium Feasibility Studies include a downloadable, fillable Lifestyle & Design Catalog. This catalog guides you through your vision, layout, and lifestyle features, while giving us the details we need to evaluate your project.

How our team gets to work

As soon as you complete your catalog, our team begins analyzing your project. We pull county assessor data, property maps, and terrain features to understand the realities of your site. From there, our designers start developing a site-specific plan that connects your vision with your land and budget.

Inside the Lifestyle & Design Catalog

Here’s what you’ll outline in the catalog:

  1. Vision & Inspiration – Define your goals and inspirations — resilience, sustainability, or legacy.
  2. Project Timeline & Readiness – Outline desired start and completion dates, property readiness, and milestones.
  3. Dome Function & Layout – Establish square footage, number of domes, levels, and uses (living, garage, utility, or multi-purpose).
  4. Lifestyle Features – Choose features like skylights, panoramic windows, safe rooms, wellness spaces, outdoor living, or off-grid systems.
  5. Location & Site Details – Provide property info (mountain, forest, desert, lakefront, or urban), lot size, and access.
  6. Investment & Budget – Define your budget range so we can align expectations with design.

What you’ll receive

Standard Feasibility Study

  • Site overview showing potential dome placement.
  • Rough budget estimate based on property evaluation, terrain features, lifestyle selections, and square footage.
  • Preliminary notes on terrain, access, zoning, and utilities.
  • Lifestyle & Design Catalog (fillable PDF) for your records.
  • A polished PDF package summarizing findings and recommendations.

Premium Feasibility Study

  • Everything in the Standard package, plus:
  • A custom floor plan to scale showing walls, room layouts, and dimensions.
  • A side-view elevation rendering illustrating how your dome could sit on your property’s terrain.
  • A detailed budget outline tied directly to your custom floor plan and features.
  • Up to 3 rounds of revisions with our designers to refine your concept.

Why it matters

The Feasibility Study gives you answers before committing to full design. You’ll know how your dome could fit your site, what features are realistic, and what investment to expect.

And the best part: the study fee is credited toward your construction drawings. That means the feasibility study is essentially free once you move forward with your dome.
